When selecting a hydraulic fluid for a particular application a number of properties may need to be considered. The most important of these properties is typically kinematic viscosity. The following document contains practical information on viscosity and bulk modulus, including a temperature/viscosity diagram for ISO hydraulic oils; and a formula for calculating compressibility of hydrocarbon based fluids.
